John has spent the last few years working on his book tentatively titled “Preventing Crime in Towns and Cities – A CPTED Guide to Safe, Liveable and Sustainable Places” which he hopes to publish in the near future. The book refers to a wide body of established and contemporary CPTED literature which provides specific technical advice on a range of different situations in a range of common urban settings including residential dwellings, mixed use developments, retail and corporate environments, integrated transport, night time economies and public lighting, walking and cycling and wayfinding. John’s research for the draft book as well as his experience of over twenty years as a crime prevention and community safety practitioner provides an in-depth evidence base for his CPTED courses.
